Title Questions

1. How do I reinstate the ownership to the previous owner when a title has been cancelled?

2. Why do I get an error when I try to void a title when the previous title was a non-transferable registration or no previous owner exists?

   Void title is designed to void the current ownership and reinstate the previous ownership (and the last title). In the case of a non-transferable registration, the previous ownership had no title. Therefore, the proper process would be either to use the void title transaction and the non-transferable registration transaction or just to use the non-transferable transaction to reinstate the vehicle ownership as it was before.

3. What happens when a title is not held electronically and an SI is added/released?

   The system will prompt the user to capture a reason why the title was not surrendered from a list of reasons. Also, a SI Title fee will be charged.
