Deleting a Held Transaction

Only a person with supervisor status or the appropriate level of permission can delete a transaction. Supervisors can delete all transactions except those with a status of payment in process or transaction committed. Contact someone with administrator privileges to delete transactions with those statuses.

You can delete a transaction from WIP whether it is a single transaction or part of a set. You can only delete a WIP transaction from the View Transaction Sets window.

To delete a held transaction using the Set Manager
  1. On the Work Management menu, select Set Manager.

The View Transaction Sets window appears. This window shows all transaction sets for the selected location, not only your transactions.

  2. Click the plus sign (+) to expand the transaction set that holds the transaction you want to delete. The plus sign (+) becomes a minus sign (-) after you click it, as shown in the example below.

  3. Select the transaction you want to delete.
  4. Right-click, and then select Delete from the Shortcut menu to delete the transaction.

A Delete Row dialog box appears requesting that you confirm the deletion.

  5. Click Yes.

The transaction disappears from the View Transaction Sets window.

  6. Click Save.

Note: Transaction sets without transactions are deleted from the window nightly.
