Placing an Order

You can place inventory orders for standard plates, title stock, and registration stock.

Note: Although special plate orders are tracked and managed in inventory, they are placed elsewhere. To learn how to order a special plate, see Ordering a Special Plate.

To place an order

1. On the Inventory menu, select Manage Orders.

   The Manage Orders window appears.

2. Under Filters, click the inventory location group and inventory class you want to order.
3. Select Standard.
4. Click Continue.

   All current orders that fall within the parameters you entered appear on the Orders tab.

5. Click the Place Orders tab.

   All inventory classes that fall within the parameters you entered appear.

6. Under Inventory and Order Data, select the inventory class you want to order.

   

   If there are existing orders for an inventory class, you can click the plus sign to expand and view them.

7. Under Place Order, enter the order information.
8. Click the Place Order button.

   The order is saved in the queue with a status of Pending.
