Reconciling and Adjusting Title Stock Inventory

Follow this procedure to reconcile title stock. You can reconcile, adjust, move, or split title stock inventory.

NOTE: All titles are printed in one central location in Kansas. You must have the correct permission level and a location profile for the state title central location to perform title stock inventory reconciliation.

To reconcile and adjust title stock
  1. On the Inventory menu, select Reconcile Title.

    The Reconcile Title window appears.

  2. Enter parameters to find the title stock inventory you want to reconcile.

    Tip: If you want to find a specific title, click Find Title Control #. On the Title Search window, enter the title control number and click Find. The location, status, and vendor label number appear for the title control number you entered.

  3. Click Continue.

    If you searched for title stock in the store room, the Title Stock and the Reconcile and Adjust tabs appear.

    If you searched for title stock in a title printer, the Title Stock tab appears.

  4. If the Title Stock tab appears, double-click the inventory set that you want to adjust.

    The set appears on the Adjust and Reconcile tab.

  5. Manually verify the remaining number of titles in the set, the starting number, and the ending number.
  6. If the number of titles, starting number, or ending number do not match, make an adjustment, as follows:
    1. Click the line of title stock you want to adjust and click Add Adjustment.

      The Add Adjustment window appears.

    2. Enter the actual quantity, beginning number, and ending number of the title stock.
    3. Next to Used Status, click the status of the missing title stock.
    4. Click Add Adjustment.
  7. When the number of titles, starting number, and ending number match, select Reconciled.
  8. Click Save.

    The window closes and the title stock is reconciled.
