You can release a special plate that was received in inventory but never assigned.
If you release a plate, the plate application record is closed and the plate is marked as destroyed in inventory. Personalized text will become available for another plate order. Any fees paid by a customer are forfeited.
To release a special plate, destroy it as defined in your business practices and adjust the inventory item to remove it from inventory. The personalized text is then released for re-use. For more information, see Adjusting Inventory.
