Vehicle Security Interest Holders

A vehicle security interest holder is an organization or an individual who has a lien on a vehicle. You can add a security interest to a vehicle at the time it is titled or any time thereafter. You can also release a security interest on a vehicle when it is titled to a new owner or any time thereafter.

If you receive the security interest application and payment for adding the security interest before you process the title application, you can add a security interest application and apply the payment when the vehicle is titled.
