Adding an Alias or DBA to a Customer

You can add an alias or DBA to a new or existing customer record. When you change the customer's name on the Name tab of the Customer Maintenance window, an alias for the customer's prior name is automatically created.

To add an alias or DBA to a customer
  1. On the Customer menu, select Manage Customer.

    The Search window appears.

  2. Do one of the following:

    The Customer Maintenance window appears with the General tab selected by default.

  3. Click the Name tab.
  4. Click Add Row.
  5. Under Name Type, select Alias or DBA.
  6. Enter the name:
  7. Click Save.

    The customer record is saved, and the Customer Maintenance window closes.
