Errors, Discretionary Edits, and Warnings

There are several different kinds of messages that indicate a problem with data entered into a form. They warn you against taking an action or to prevent an action from taking place in the application.

You can do one of the following tasks depending on the type of error message.

When a data entry problem is detected, information about the issue is usually provided in an Error Worksheet window or a Warnings Worksheet window. Sometimes a single error appears on a tab specific to that error; at other times several errors might be grouped together on a more generic tab.
