You can insert a pre-existing plate that is eligible to be assigned to a vehicle but is not in listed in the database.
The Insert Plate window appears.
The Search window appears.
The customer number appears in the Plate Customer # field.
Note: The above options are only active if the appropriate plate configuration was selected in the Plate Configuration drop-down list.
If you accidentally assign the wrong plate type configuration as part of this process, you must edit the inserted plate to correct it. For more information, see Editing an Inserted Plate.
