Reserving a Personalized Plate

You can reserve the text that a customer wants to appear on a personalized plate. After you do, the reserved text cannot be issued or assigned to a plate order for another customer until it expires after 30 days.

To reserve the text on a personalized plate
  1. On the Plate menu, select Reserve Plate.

    The Plate Prequalifier window appears.

  2. Enter the identification number for the customer for whom you want to reserve the text and click Continue.

    If you do not know the customer identification number, click Customer Search and use the Search window to find the customer you want. If the Prequal WIP Search window appears, click Cancel.

    The Reserve Plate window appears.

  3. Enter the personalized text that you want to reserve.
  4. Click Save.
  5. On the confirmation window, click OK.

    The text you entered is reserved and the window closes.
