Data Filters

You can filter data in some lists based on a specific value in a specific column. Data columns you can use to filter display a small filter icon when you position your mouse pointer in the column header, as shown in the figure below. Values you can use to filter appear when you click the filter icon in a column header.

If you select a value from a filter drop-down list, the system displays only those records that match the value you selected, and only those values that match within the window (results) you were viewing when you selected the filter option.

In addition to filtering by one of the values listed in the column, you can also select one of the following filter options:

• All—Select to include all records in the list, regardless of their column value.
• Custom—Select to open the Custom AutoFilter window and enter specific filter parameters.
• Blanks—Select to include only those records that do not have any value in the selected column.
• Non blanks—Select to include only those records that have a value in the selected column.
