Custom AutoFilter Window

The Custom AutoFilter window is available to help filter some lists in the 3M MVS Console based on a specific value in a specific column. Data columns you can use to sort results appear with a drop-down list in the column header. For example, on the Results tab of the Search window, some of the columns have filters available.

To open the Custom AutoFilter window:

On a column filter list, select Custom.

Window element	Usage
Show rows where	Select one of the following filtering options and enter the filter value. Equals—Filters the list to leave records with the value in the corresponding column that exactly matches the value you enter. Does not equal—Filters the list to leave records in the corresponding column with any other value than the value you enter. Is greater than—Filters the list to leave records in the corresponding column with values greater than the value you enter. For example, 9 is greater than 1 and Anne is greater than Anna. Is greater than or equal to—Filters the list to leave records in the corresponding column with values greater than or equal to the value you enter. Is less than—Filters the list to leave records with values in the corresponding column less than the value you enter. For example, 1 is less than 9 and Anna is less than Anne. Is less than or equal to—Filters the list to leave records with values in the corresponding column less than or equal to the value you enter. Blanks—Filters the list to leave records with no value in the corresponding column. Non blanks—Filters the list to leave records with any value in the corresponding column (not blank). Like—This function allows you to use a wild card (%). to find like values For example, you can enter Jo% to find all names that begin with Jo. If you enter %jo%, the search will return all names with jo in them. Not like—This function allows you to use a wild card (%) to find values unlike the one you enter. For example, you can enter `Jo%` to find all names except those that begin with Jo. If you enter `%jo%`, the search returns all names except those with jo in them. Filtering assesses numbers and characters from 0 to 9 and from A to Z as follows: 0 is less than 9 9 is less than A A is less than Z. No character is less than any character in the corresponding position. For example, Ann is less than Anne. To also use another filtering option, click And and enter another filter at the bottom of the window. Only records meeting both parameters remain in the filtered list. To use either of two filtering options, click Or and enter another filter at the bottom of the window. Records meeting either one or the other of the parameters remain in the filtered list.
OK	Click to filter the list based on the parameters you entered and close the window.
Cancel	Click to close the window without filtering the list.

Click to filter the list based on the parameters you entered and close the window.
