Get Plate Window

Purpose

Use the Get Plate window to assign a license plate to a vehicle in a registration transaction.

Get Plate window element descriptions

Window element

Usage

Vehicle
  • Type—Displays the kind of vehicle for which you are getting a plate.
  • Usage—Displays the vehicle usage.

Registration
  • Exp Date—Displays the date when the vehicle registration expires.

Plate
  • Plate Config Description—Select the plate configuration you want. The configuration you select must match the vehicle usage.
  • County—Select the registration county.
  • Plate #—To get a specific plate from inventory, enter the plate number. The plate number you enter must exist in inventory.
  • Get Plate—Click to get the specific plate you entered from inventory.
  • Auto Assign #—Click to auto-assign a plate from inventory. The plate number that is assigned appears as the plate number.
  • Handicapped Plates Only—Click if you are ordering handicapped plates.

OK

Click to get the plate from inventory and close the window. The plate number that you selected appears on the transaction window.

Cancel

Click to close the window without getting a plate.
