Use the Profiles window to view, add, or edit user profile configurations for your 3M MVS Console sessions, including the default location profile, cash drawer, available printers, and user options.
To open the Profiles window:
The Profiles window is composed of:

Use the common area at the top of this window to identify the profile you want to view or edit. You can view only the profiles that you created. The buttons on the bottom are for the window as a whole, regardless of which tab is showing.

Show options for profile |
Select the profile you want to view or edit. The profiles listed are those you have defined based on your user login permissions. |
Set Default |
Click to set the profile you selected in the Show Options for This Profile field as the default profile. This profile—and the location, window, cash drawer, printers, and user options defined in it—will be used for all the transactions that you process until you set the default to another profile. |
Add |
Click to add a new profile. After you click Add, enter the profile details and save them when you finish. |
Delete |
Click to delete the active profile. |
Save |
Click to save the profile and close the window. |
Close |
Click to close the window. |

Location Profile |
The default location through which transactions are processed by users logged in using this profile. |
Use this tab to define the default cash drawer through which you want to process transactions with this profile.

Select the default cash drawer for the profile. The available cash drawers depend on the location profile selected on the Profile tab and your user permissions. |
Description |
Displays a description of the selected cash drawer. |
CD Status |
Displays the status of the selected cash drawer, such as Open, Closed, and so on. |
CD Type |
Displays the type of the selected cash drawer. |
Balance |
Displays the balance of the selected cash drawer. |
Use this tab to define the default work location and printers to which you can print.

Select True or False, depending on whether transactions processed with this profile should always charge postage for mailing a plate. |

Select True or False, depending on whether transactions processed with this profile should always charge postage for mailing registration papers and validation stickers. |
DelayedBusinessDate |
To process transactions using a delayed business date, enter the date you want to use. This gives you the flexibility to process transactions at any pace without penalizing customers who request transactions in a timely fashion. The financials are recorded in the current month. |
ShowConfirmationMessages |
This functionality is not available. |
ShowShortDiscretionaryEditMessages |
Select True or False, depending on whether to show a short version of discretionary edit messages to users with this profile. Longer discretionary edit messages are more descriptive. |
