Transaction Search Window

Use the Transaction Search window to search for document images related to a specific transaction.

To open the Transaction Search window:

On the VRT menu, select Manage Document Images.

Detailed Description

Transaction Search window element descriptions

Window element	Usage
Transaction ID	The system-assigned identification number of the transaction.
Transaction Start Date	Enter the start date you want to use to for the search.
Transaction Through Date	Enter the end date you want to use to for the search.
Transaction Type	You can narrow your search by selecting a specific transaction task within the system.
Vehicle ID #	If you know the vehicle you want, enter the full or partial vehicle identification number. You can enter any identification number listed for the vehicle. For example, VIN, title number, plate number, and so on. You can enter a short VIN beginning with a slash (/).
Vehicle ID Type	Select the ID type that corresponds to the number entered in the Vehicle ID# field.
Vehicle Search	Click to open the Search window to perform a vehicle search.
Customer ID #	If you know the customer you want, enter the full or partial customer identification number. You can enter any identification number listed for the customer. For example, DL number or SSN.
Customer ID Type	Select the ID type that corresponds to the number entered in the Customer ID# field.
Customer Search	Click to open the Search window to perform a customer search.
Selected Vehicle #	Displays the vehicle number for the search.
Search	Click to look for records based on your search parameters.
Search Results	Transaction ID--The system-assigned identification number of the transaction. Cancellation Date--If the transaction was canceled, this displays the date of the cancelation. Customer Name--Displays the name of the customer associated to the transaction. Customer Number--Displays the primary identification number for the primary customer that is associated with the transaction. Plate Number--Displays the numbers and text on the vehicle's license plate. Plate Type--Displays the type of license plate on the vehicle. Title Number--Displays the current vehicle title number. Transaction From Date--Displays the start date entered for the search. Transaction Through Date--Displays the end date entered for the search. Transaction Type--Displays the type of transaction task entered for the search Transaction Type ID--Displays the system-assigned identification number for the type of transaction for the search. Transaction User ID--Displays the system user number for the person who initiated the search. Vehicle Description--Displays detailed information on the vehicle associated to the transaction. VIN--Displays the vehicle identification number of the vehicle associated to the transaction.
Select Transaction	If your search returns multiple transactions in the search result listing, highlight the one you want and click this button to view the results.
Search	Click to begin the search.
