Duplicate Identification Window

Purpose

Use the Duplicate Identification window to view a customer with an identification number that duplicates the number you tried to save for a different customer. This window helps prevent you from saving an inaccurate identification number. It also helps you determine if the customer is duplicated in the application and should be merged.

Navigation

The Duplicate Identification window appears if you try to create a customer with an identification number already used by another customer.

Detailed Description

Duplicate Identification window element descriptions

Window element	Usage
Customer #	Displays the system-generated number of the customer already using the identification number you are trying to save.
Legal Name	Displays the lawful name of the customer already using the identification number you are trying to save.
Residency Address	Displays the primary address of the customer already using the identification number you are trying to save.
Date of Birth	Displays the birth date of the customer already using the identification number you are trying to save.
Identification #	Displays the identification number of the customer already using the identification number you are trying to save.
Continue	Click to close the window. You must change the identification number for one of the customers with the duplicate number. You can merge the customers using a customer group if you determine they are the same person.
