Void Registration Window

The common area at the top of this window displays basic information about the active vehicle. Likewise, the buttons on the bottom are for the window as a whole, regardless of which tab is showing.

Void Registration window, common area element descriptions

Window element	Usage
VIN	Displays the vehicle identification number of the active vehicle. Click to open the Vehicle Maintenance window and view or edit vehicle details.
Vehicle	Displays the year, make, and model of the active vehicle.
Veh Type	Displays the type of the active vehicle.
Location	Select the location through which you want to process the transaction. The locations that you can select are limited based on your user login.
Commit	Click to void the current vehicle registration and reinstate the previous registration.
Cancel	Click to close the window without saving.

Registration to Void Tab

Use this tab to verify the registration to be voided and to specify the plate disposition.

Void Registration window, Registration to Void tab element descriptions

Window element	Usage
Current Title	Title #—Displays the current title number. Title Type—Displays the title type. State—Displays the county in which the title was issued. County—Displays the county in which the title was issued. Current Status—Displays the current status of the title. Issue Date—Displays the date the title was issued.
Current Registration	Displays the following for the registration that will be voided: Start Date—Displays the starting date on the current registration. End Date—Displays the end date on the current registration. Usage—Displays the vehicle usage on the current registration. Tons—Displays the tonnage on the current registration. Disposition—Displays the disposition of the current registration. If the registration is current, this is blank. Dispose Date—Displays the disposition date of the current registration. If the registration is current, this is blank.
Cancel Registration	Dispose Reason—Displays the reason for voiding the registration. Date—Displays the date the registration will be voided if you complete the transaction.
Current Plate	Plate #—Displays the plate currently assigned to the vehicle. Disposition—Displays the disposition of the current plate. If the plate is current, this is blank. Dispose Date—Displays the disposition date of the current plate. If the plate is current, this is blank.
Cancel Plate	Dispose Reason—Click the reason for plate disposal. Date—Displays the date the plate was disposed.
Customers	Ownership Status—If there is more than one customer, displays whether the relationship to the vehicle is and or or. If it is and, then each customer must be involved in transactions regarding the vehicle. If it is or, then one customer or the other can be involved in transactions regarding the vehicle. Customer ID—Displays the primary identification number for the primary customer that is associated with the vehicle. You can change this customer on the Relate Customers tab. ID Type—Displays the identification type that corresponds to the customer identification number. Legal Name—Displays the name of the customer. Click to open the Customer Maintenance window and view or edit customer details. Residency Address—Displays the primary address for the customer. Date of Birth—Displays the birth date of the customer. Relationship—Displays the relationship of the customer to the vehicle. Priority—Displays the priority of the customer in relation to any other customers associated with the vehicle.
Security Interests	SI ID#—Displays the primary identification number for each security interest holder that is associated with the vehicle. Legal Name—Displays the name of each security interest holder. Residency Address—Displays the primary address of each security interest holder. Create Date—Displays the date the security interest was added. Cancel Date—If the security interest has been removed, displays the date the security interest was cancelled. Cancel Reason—If the security interest has been removed, displays the reason the security interest was cancelled.

Registration to Reinstate Tab

Use this tab to verify the registration to be reinstated.

Void Registration window, Registration to Reinstate tab element descriptions

Window element	Usage
Cancel Registration	Dispose Reason—Displays the reason for voiding the registration. Date—Displays the date the registration will be voided if you complete the transaction.
Previous Title	Title #—Displays the previous title number. Title Type—Displays the previous title type. State—Displays the county in which the previous title was issued. County—Displays the county in which the previous title was issued. Current Status—Displays the current status of the previous title. Issue Date—Displays the date on which the previous title was issued.
Previous Registration	Displays the following for the registration that will be reinstated: Start Date—Displays the starting date on the previous registration. End Date—Displays the end date on the previous registration. Usage—Displays the vehicle usage on the previous registration. Tons—Displays the tonnage on the previous registration. Disposition—Displays the disposition of the previous registration. If the registration was current, this is blank. Dispose Date—Displays the disposition date of the previous registration. If the registration was current, this is blank.
Reinstated Registration	Dispose Reason—Displays the reason for reinstating the registration. Date—Displays the date the registration will be reinstated if you complete the transaction.
Previous Plate	Plate #—Displays the plate previously assigned to the vehicle. Disposition—Displays the disposition of the previous plate. If the plate was current, this is blank. Dispose Date—Displays the disposition date of the previous plate. If the plate was current, this is blank.

Designations Tab

Use this tab to view, edit, and add historical and current vehicle designation information for the active vehicle, such as whether it was damaged in a flood or was reported stolen.

Void Registration window, Designations tab element descriptions

Window element	Usage
Designation	The descriptive NMVTIS or state label/brand currently or historically associated with the status of a vehicle, such as Junk, Salvage, Flood, and so on.
Origin	The entity that assigned the designation/brand to the vehicle.
Orig Jurisdiction	If the designation origin is out of state or NMVTIS, displays the specific state.
Removal Reason	Indicates why a designation/brand was withdrawn from the vehicle.
Effective Date	The date the corresponding designation became effective.
End Date	The date the corresponding designation ended.
