Purpose

Use the Non-Transferable Registration Prequalifier window to identify the vehicle and customers for which you want to issue a non-transferable registration.

For efficiency, complete the prequalifier window with as much information as you can. Whatever information you don't enter on the prequalifier window, you can enter on the transaction window.

Non-Transferable Registration Prequalifier window element descriptions

Window element

Usage

Vehicle
  • Purchased Date—Enter the date when the customer purchased the vehicle.
  • VIN—If you do not enter the title number, enter the vehicle identification number for the vehicle you want. To enter a short VIN, type the last six characters of the VIN preceded by a forward slash (/).
  • Title #—If you do not enter the VIN, enter the title number for the vehicle you want.

Customers
  • Owner—Enter the full or partial customer identification numbers for up to three owners of the vehicle.
  • Security Interest—This type of customer search is disabled.
  • Lessee—Enter the full or partial customer identification numbers for up to two lessees of the vehicle.
  • Primary Operator—Enter the full or partial customer identification numbers for up to two primary operators of the vehicle.
  • Transfer on Death—Enter the full or partial customer identification numbers for up to three transfer on death designees associated with the vehicle.

Continue

Click to find the vehicle and customers you entered, and continue with the transaction. If you entered a partial or unknown vehicle or customer identification number, the Search window appears, listing all vehicles or customers with an identification number starting with the partial number you entered. If necessary, enter additional search parameters to find the record you want. In the search results, double-click the vehicle or customer you want.

Click to clear the window entries.

Cancel

Click to close the window without completing the transaction.
