Before customers can receive registration renewal invitations, an authorized user must run a batch job to generate them. System-generated invitations are sent to customers by postal mail unless a Contact Type of Renewal Email has been specified on the Contact tab of the Customer Maintenance window and the Preferred box has been checked for that row.
When the batch job runs, the system performs the following tasks, among others:
For postal mail renewals, the system sends invitations to the address specified in the Registration Mailing Instructions area on the Mailing tab in the Title and Registration window. For e-mail renewals, the system sends invitations to the e-mail address specified in the Contact Value field associated with a Renewal Email type. If the system receives a message that the e-mail message was undeliverable, it lists that fact in an error log that is maintained outside the 3MTM MVS Suite. E-mail addresses for those customers are then manually marked as undeliverable on the Contact tab of the Customer Maintenance window.
The browser window appears and loads the System Logs window.
MOVRS either generates the renewal invitations or, if it cannot, records an error in an error log outside the system. Contact your system administrator for the location of and access to the error log. To re-run the batch job, repeat the steps above.
