Capturing a Customer's Electronic Signature

You can capture a customer's electronic signature and create an online image of it in the MVS system. Capturing an electronic signature is integrated into system transactions relating to customer information, vehicle title and registrations, permits, and security interests. To capture an electronic signature you must have the appropriate scanning hardware at your facility.

You can capture a customer's electronic signature and create an online image of it while completing the following procedures:

To capture a customer's electronic signature
  1. In the Common Area of the transaction window or on the Relate Customers tab of the transaction window, click the Capture Signatures button.
  2. The Customer Signature window appears.
  3. Click the Sign button.
  4. Have the customer sign on the capture signature equipment.
  5. After the signature is completed you should see Collected display on the Customer Signature window.
